The Goods
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that your order arrives in good condition.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you store your goods in a suitable dry location.
Please note: – Logs do not tolerate damp storage conditions.
Natural Product Disclaimer
Although we endeavour to provide you with a product which is 100% accurate, occasionally you may find a slightly different wood in your delivery.
For example, if you order a metre of hardwood from us, every now and then a couple of softwood logs may slip through with your order and vice versa. We take delivery of a large number of trees on a weekly basis. When an area of forest is felled, occasionally there is a softwood species mixed in with the hardwood trees and vice-versa. We always try to ensure this never happens, but now and then one or two logs may slip through the net.
Delivery
The contract between Devon and Cornwall Logs and the customer will be deemed to be fulfilled on delivery of your order in good condition.
The goods will be considered to be delivered in a good condition where you, the customer, has signed the delivery invoice confirming the safe delivery of the order.
Where the customer has waived their right to inspect the state of goods by requesting delivery without a signature, the contract will be seen as completed, regardless of the actual state of goods. Delivery will be deemed to have been made at the time stated on the delivery note.
We strongly recommend against customers requesting unattended deliveries.
We will tip (loose logs) or unload (nets) as close to where the customer would like as we can get our vehicle. If handling is required without being arranged an additional charge will be required. Stacking is available at an additional cost but must be booked in.
We will try our upmost to deliver in the specified time slot given, however due to factors out of Devon and Cornwall Logs’ control such as weather, heavy traffic etc. this may not always be possible. The driver however will always contact the customer if this is going to be the case.
