We are now registered on the Biomass Suppliers list (BSL). The BSL is a list of Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) eligible woodfuels and biomass suppliers may register their woodfuels on the BSL which we have done. The BSL is a fuel sustainability scheme but encourages the use of high quality fuel and supports the use of fuel with quality assurance certification.
RHI participants using biomass fuel need to ensure that their fuel meets the RHI sustainability criteria and demonstrate this to Ofgem in order to claim RHI payments. To register on this list we have had to show that the wood that we sell meets a lifecycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions criteria of 60 per cent savings against the EU fossil fuel average. Also there are certain criteria that apply to where and how the wood was grown and how far it has travelled from source to processing.
From October 5th 2015 it became mandatory requirement of the RHI scheme that you use only sustainable biomass fuel in order to receive your RHI payments so if you are looking for registered supplier to supply your biomass fuel give us a ring on 07727749120 or email us – we are here to help!
